What we do
We are a volunteer-run charity. Our aim is to conserve, enhance and celebrate North Berwick - its townscape, heritage and setting.
We bring people together who care about our beautiful town – and together, we work to conserve and enhance all that is special about North Berwick. We celebrate North Berwick and foster understanding and enjoyment of the town and surrounding area.
Together we can address matters that are important to our historic town, including:
Advocating for conservation of our historic buildings and significant features, promoting high standards of architecture and design, and encouraging the sensitive management of change.
Addressing wider issues affecting the community, such as traffic and parking, affordable housing and short-term lets, and the use and conservation of our open spaces.
Playing an educational role by providing information and resources, such as our series of heritage guides.
Engaging in creative and cultural activities to inspire our community.
Responding to planning applications and policy proposals.
We cherish North Berwick and are not just 'hoping for better things' - we are making them happen!
